When you create a TeachX account, we collect your name and email address. If you add organisation details in Settings, we also store your institute's name, GSTIN, address, and contact email or phone number - used for invoices and shared with your team.
We store the content you upload or generate through TeachX - question papers, notes, presentations, worksheets you scan for plagiarism checks, and similar teaching material - so you can access it later from your library.
We also collect basic usage data: which tools you use, how many credits you spend, and standard technical logs (device, browser, IP address) needed to keep the service working and secure.
We use your information to operate your account, generate the content you request, maintain your credit balance, send you the one-time codes you sign in with, and provide support when you contact us.
We do not use your data to serve third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
Generating a question paper, lesson plan, presentation, or running a plagiarism check means the relevant text or file content is sent to an AI model provider for processing. We send only what's needed to produce the output you asked for, and we don't use your content to train our own models.
Your account data and generated content are stored on secure servers and kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data and stored content within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep records for legal or accounting purposes (for example, invoices tied to organisation billing).
We share data only with the service providers needed to run TeachX, specifically:
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
You can review and update your name and organisation details any time from Settings. You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account by writing to hello@teachx.in.
TeachX accounts are for teachers and institutes, not students. If content you upload incidentally contains student names or grades (for example, in a worksheet you're scanning), that data is treated with the same protections as the rest of your account content and is never used for any purpose beyond delivering the tool you asked for.
We use industry-standard measures - encrypted connections, access controls, and secure hosting - to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access, loss, or misuse of your information.
We may update this policy as TeachX changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
Questions about this policy or your data? Write to hello@teachx.in.
